Fitwel Industries LLP is one of the prominent Elbow Manufacturer in Mumbai, India. Top quality buttweld elbow comes in 45 degree, 90 degree and 180 degree angle i.e. Long Radius Elbow, Short Radius Elbow & Customized Radius Elbow. We are engaged in offering a superior quality Pipe Fittings Elbow that is manufactured using high-grade raw material in compliance with industry norms. Comes in three different types – 45 Degree Elbow, 90 Degree Elbow and 180 Degree Elbow. These are constructed with the best of the materials available in the market.
Fitwel Industries LLP is India's based leading global manufacturer, exporter and suppliers of 90 degree elbow, 45 degree elbow, 180 degree elbow, short radius elbow & long radius elbow pipe fittings in Mumbai & India. The most common dimensional standard for 45/90/180 degree elbows is ASME B16.9, B16.28 MSS-SP43/75 for sizes ranging from ½" to 72" (in all Schedules). In addition to standard size 90 degree elbows fittings, we can also offer larger sizes on customer request.
The function of an elbow fitting is to change direction or flow in a piping system. An elbow is a pipe fitting installed between two lengths of pipe or tubing to allow a change of direction, usually a 90 Degree or 45 Degree angle. Hot forming is one of the most common manufacturing methods for manufacturing Elbows from pipes. The offered range finds their wide application in engineering and corporate sectors. Further, offered range can be customized as per specific requirements of our clients.
The Buttweld Elbow is where the two bones of the forearm – the radius on the thumb side of the arm and the ulna on the pinky finger side – meet the bone of the upper arm - the humerus. The lower end of the humerus flares out into two rounded protrusions called epicondyles, where muscles attach.
The Difference Between A Long Radius Elbow And A Short Radius Elbow. The long radius elbow refers to the outer diameter of the tube whose radius of curvature is equal to 1.5 times, that is, R = 1.5D. A short radius elbow means that its radius of curvature is equal to the outer diameter of the tube, ie R = D.
The center to face distance of a long radius pipe elbow is always 1.5 times the nominal pipe size, whereas, for a short radius pipe elbow, the center to face distance is equal to the nominal pipe size.
Example:-
ASME B16.9 buttweld elbows are manufactured in a wide range of dimensions (combinations of outside diameter and wall thickness) to fit ASME B36.10 and ASME B36.19 carbon, alloy and stainless steel pipes of any size between 2 and 48 inches (and above).
Buttweld elbows below 24 inches in diameter are produced by cutting, heating and bending seamless steel pipes; pipe elbows of larger sizes are manufactured, instead, from welded pipes or steel plates.
The three most common types of elbows in piping are the 45, 90, and 180 degrees (or return elbow), as shown in the image:-

Dimensional tolerances are in millimeters unless otherwise indicated and are equal ± except as noted.
Buttweld elbows 45 and 90 degrees can be manufactured in different ways, the main ones are the “mandrel process” and the “cold forming” (other methods are the elliptical forming and the double-seam welding method).
